Sashico currently manufactures several Malaysian tropical hardwood species, with a production capacity around 1300M3 per month. Sashico sawn timber is available in air dried or kiln dried, in compliance with Malaysia grading standards. Available with custom sizes and dimensions, thus we are confident to meet the most stringent requirements of our customers.

Kiln Dried
To ensure highest quality and stability of our products, Sashico kiln dried sawn timber is under a strict control of temperature, airflow, and humidity levels, resulting in better quality dried timber. It is consistent and increases its workability.
Kiln-drying can remove as much as 90% of the moisture, making it resistant to fungal decay. Kiln-drying process is to keep the moisture at a level where it won’t cause further damage, avoid warping and twisting of timber during furniture making.
Air Dried
Sashico air dried sawn timber is a solid, stable medium for construction projects such as furniture.
Our
air dried sawn timber is stacked, covered, in an area exposed to the environment
in our open warehouse. By stacking it, the air can naturally flow easily
around them and remove moisture with consistency.
This process does not introduce any internal tensions in the wood and is easier to work with. Air drying can take up to a few months, depending on the species of wood.
